TheJohnLennonLetters.comA new app focusing on personal letters written by John Lennon that were collected in a recently published book will be available for purchase later this month via the Apple App Store. The John Lennon Letters App will include digitized versions of 78 of the more than 300 missives featured in the similarly named book, which was compiled and annotated by Hunter Davies.
The application also will offer 10 letters that don't appear in the book. Other features include a foreword written by the Beatles star's widow, Yoko Ono, and audio of actor Christopher Eccleston reading some of the correspondence. In addition, TheBookseller.com reports that the app will feature an animated introduction incorporating artwork by Lennon, as well as allowing users to access a special playlist of the late rocker's songs at the iTunes Store.
