Reprise RecordsTom Petty & the Heartbreakers' Mike Campbell is offering some lucky fans the chance to win a dinner with him and a visit to the band's rehearsal space, where ***** treat them to a personal guitar lesson. Three winners for the special prize will be picked via a raffle that's being held as part of the second annual fundraiser to benefit the Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund and the affiliated Rock the Dogs campaign.
The dinner and lesson at the Heartbreakers' private clubhouse are scheduled to take place on January 25. The raffle winners also will receive money for airfare, accommodations for three nights in or near Los Angeles and admission into a private January 26 concert event featuring Campbell. The Tazzy Animal Rescue Fund is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping aging and neglected pets in need of shelter and medical care. Campbell is a member of the charity's board of directors, as is his wife, Marcie, who also is the fund's co-president. In addition, the Campbells founded the Rock the Dogs initiative, which seeks to raise money for the Tazzy organization.
