Items from Heart, Beach Boys, Other Stars Being Auctioned to Benefit Ailing Tour Bus Driver

Facebook.com/HeartHeart, The Beach Boys and The Grateful Dead's Bob Weir are among the artists who have contributed items or concert packages to an eBay auction that will raise money for Donny Silva, a longtime tour-bus driver for many artists who is suffering from stage-four colon cancer.  Proceeds raised will help Silva with his medical expenses, as he has no health insurance.

Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson have donated a package that includes a signed electric guitar, an autographed guitar strap and the sisters' personal laminates from their band's 2008 tour with Journey and Cheap Trick.  The Beach Boys, meanwhile, have contributed a signed CD copy of their latest album, That's Why God Made the Radio.  As for Weir, he's offering a pair of tickets and post-show passes to any one of his upcoming solo concerts or by Furthur, his side project group with founding Dead bassist Phil Lesh.

Other items up for bid include collectibles signed by Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and Elton John band members Davey Johnstone and Nigel Olsson, as well as a set of guitar picks donated by the Eagles.

The auction runs until December 6.  Check out all the lots being auctioned here.
