Blue Note RecordsAnita Baker recorded four versions of her hit single "Lately" before she came up with the version that's earned her a nod for Best Traditional R&B Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards.  Now she tells the Singersroom, "As a result of this nomination we're going to give fans an additional remix."

The music veteran has taken to Twitter to thank fans and critics for their support of her song, but she tells the Singersroom that she had no expectations about getting a Grammy nomination this time around.  "It’s shockingly beautiful at this point in my career," she says.  "It's a dichotomy of emotions; crazy lovely… It's saying you did OK so stay in the lane."

Anita's song "Lately" is slated to appear on her upcoming album, Only Forever.  Though she's happy about her latest nomination, the singer says that she's not creating music just to get another accolade.  "I sing from inspiration, inspiration directs me," she tells the Singersroom.  

There's no word on when Anita's new album will arrive in stores.
