Photo: Dave HoganThe big finale of The Rolling Stones' 2012 "50 & ********" concerts is set to take place tonight at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. As previously reported, the show will air as a live pay-per-view event titled One More Shot: The Rolling Stones Live that will be viewable on a variety of TV stations, as well as streaming at Yahoo! Music. The show begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
The legendary British rockers will be welcoming several guests to the stage during the performance: Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, The Black Keys and ex-Stones guitarist Mick Taylor. Taylor also has joined his old group at three of the four other "50 & ********" concerts the band has played during the last few weeks.
Taylor, who was a member of The Stones from 1969 to 1974, tells Billboard that he's been enjoying performing again with the band.
"It's been really amazing, thrilling and exciting," he says. "I'm a lot more outgoing and not quite as shy as I used to be, so in that respect it's different. I feel re-energized by the experience, too."
Taylor also says he expects the group to schedule more concerts in the new year.
"I think everybody is having a good time on stage," he maintains. "I think they just feel re-energized and possibly very enthusiastic about doing things in the future. I just have an intuitive feeling that if they want to do some more shows, they can."
If the band does extend its touring plans, the guitarist says he'd be glad to join them to jam again.
"I'm up for 150 percent, yes," he declares. "We weren't thinking about 50 years back when I was [in the band]. We were living in the moment...and I'm really enjoying the moment right now."
