Brits.co.ukThe nominees for the 2013 Brit Awards, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys, were announced Thursday and only two veteran rock acts, The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen, will be competing for trophies at the event.
The Stones are in the running for the British Live Act prize, even though they only played two concerts in the U.K. during 2012. The legendary rockers have never won a Brit, and have only been nominated three other *****, most recently in 1996 in the Best British Video category.
Springsteen, meanwhile, has been nominated for the International Male Solo Artist award. This is the Boss' 10th Brit nod overall, although he's only won once -- back in 1986 for Best International Solo Artist.
The Brit Awards will be handed out February 20 at London's O2 arena.
