Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2013 to Be Announced on Tuesday

Rock and Roll Hall of FameThe newest set of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will be revealed at a press event at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles this Tuesday at 11 a.m. PT.  

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea will announce the respected performers who will make up the Rock Hall's Class of 2013.  Flea also will disclose the luminaries who will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, which goes to songwriters, producers and other non-performers who have had a major influence on rock and roll. read more ≫


Rod Stewart to Perform on Michael Buble's Christmas Special Tonight on NBC

Chris Large/NBCRod Stewart is among the guest stars who will appear on Canadian crooner Michael Buble's Christmas special tonight on NBC.  Michael Buble: Home for the Holidays airs at 10 p.m. ET.  The show, which was shot in Buble's hometown of Vancouver, also will feature The Voice star and country singer Blake Shelton, pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen and Elmo. read more ≫

The Stones were joined at the London and Brooklyn, NY concerts by guests including Jeff Beck, Mary J. Blige, blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr., and Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine, as well as by past members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor. read more ≫

Spirit (Ed Cassidy, 2nd from left); Michael Ochs Archives/Getty ImagesEd Cassidy, the drummer who teamed with his stepson Randy California to create the jazz-influenced sound of the band Spirit, **** of cancer at age 89 on Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Spirit was one of the West Coast’s premiere rock groups in the 1960s, with hits such as "I Got a Line on You" and "Nature’s Way."  read more ≫
