Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Psychedelic Pill" Arrives in Stores Today

Reprise RecordsThe two-CD and digital versions of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's latest studio effort, Psychedelic Pill, are released today.  The album only features nine tracks -- one of them an alternate version of the title tune -- although three of the songs clock in at more than 16 minutes long.  The digital edition of Psychedelic Pill includes a series of videos created to accompany each song on the album.  Three of these clips are available for viewing now online at Young's official YouTube channelread more ≫


Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant Says He'll Appear on Next Album by UK Band Primal Scream

RobertPlant.comLed Zeppelin fans will get the chance to hear frontman Robert Plant on a new album next year.  According to NME, the singer revealed in a recent interview that he's contributed vocals to tracks that will appear on a new recording project by veteran alternative rock act Primal Scream.

Plant tells Mojo magazine, "I sang a bit on the Primals stuff because I think their references on looking back on the glorious past and the way they bring them into the contemporary world are fantastic." read more ≫

Julien's AuctionsA collection of various items Ronnie Wood left in the possession of his ex-wife, Jo, brought in a pretty penny at an auction Saturday in Beverly Hills, California.  The sale, which offered a variety of instruments, music-related memorabilia, artwork, clothing and other collectibles that belonged to the Rolling Stones guitarist, took in a total of $665,000 in bids, according to Julien's Auctions. read more ≫

Mary McCartney/MPL Communications Ltd.A certain contingent of Beatles fans has long blamed John Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, for the 1970 breakup of the group, but Paul McCartney insists that's just not the case.  The Guardian reports that in a new TV interview with veteran U.K. journalist David Frost, McCartney maintains that Ono "certainly didn't break the group up, the group was breaking up." read more ≫
