Ronnie Wood to Marry Again?

RonnieWood.comWill the third time be the charm for Ronnie Wood?  According to U.K. tabloid The Sun, the Rolling Stones guitarist is set to enter into marriage #3.

The paper quotes a source as saying the 65-year-old rocker proposed last week to 35-year-old theater producer Sally Humphreys.  According to the paper, the pair have been dating for six months. read more ≫

Geffen RecordsIf you thought today was Halloween, you're partly right.  VH1 Classic has declared it Wholloween, and will devote the day to all things The Who.

The ****** starts at 12:30 p.m. ET/PT with a broadcast of the 1975 film version of Tommy, followed by a 3:00 p.m. airing of BBC Electric Proms: The Who, a chronicle of the band's 2006 gig at London's Roundhouse venue.  At 4:00 p.m. it's the VH1 documentary Classic Albums: Who's Next, and then at 5:00 p.m., VH1 Classic in Concert: Listening to You: The Who at The Isle of Wight, as in the band's iconic 1970 show there. read more ≫


Toto Guitarist Steve Lukather Releasing New Solo Album, "Transition"

Mascot RecordsFounding Toto guitarist Steve Lukather has had a busy year.  Not only did he hit the road with his old group, with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band and as part of Steve Vai's G3 tour, but he also found time to record a new solo album.   Lukather will release Transition, his seventh solo effort, on January 21.

The nine-song collection includes guest appearances by Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith, veteran session bassist Lee Sklar, and Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, who contributed backing vocals to the project. read more ≫


Rod Stewart Initially Thought a Christmas Album Was "Beneath" Him

Penny LancasterSome artists resist the idea of doing Christmas albums because they think it'll be seen as a money grab, or because they think they're not far enough along in their careers yet to get away with it.  But in Rod Stewart's case, he says he initially resisted doing one because of his rock-star ego.

Speaking to Billboard about his new holiday album, Merry Christmas, Baby, Rod says, "I think maybe I thought it was beneath me, years ago, to do a Christmas album. I thought, 'I'm a dyed-in-the-wool rocker.  I cannot do Christmas albums -- or standards.'" read more ≫
