Cheap Trick's Robin Zander Announces Dates with New Side Band

RobinZanderBand.comWhile Cheap Trick has been filling in its 2013 tour itinerary, the power-pop legend's frontman, Robin Zander has been making some additional plans.  The singer has scheduled a handful of upcoming dates with his new side project, the Robin Zander Band.

Backing Zander in the outfit are guitarist Mark Hitt, bassist Larry Hobbs and drummer Steve Luongo.  Luongo used to play in late Who bassist John Entwistle's solo group, and he and Hitt also were members of the band Rat Race Choir. read more ≫


Chaka Khan to Be Honored at 21st Trumpet Awards Tonight

Jemal ********/Getty Images for VH1The 21st Annual Trumpet Awards air tonight on TV One, and Chaka Khan is among the evening's honorees.  The funk/soul diva will be presented with the Legend Award during the broadcast, which begins at 8 p.m. ET.

In addition, ex-Gap Band singer Charlie Wilson will be acknowledged with the Lifetime Achievement Award.  He will also perform during the ceremony, sharing the bill with Jennifer Holliday, Fantasia, Avant, Anthony Hamilton and others. read more ≫


ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons Ready for Moving Sidewalks Reunion, Says Old Band Is Writing New Songs

Toto Announces Plans for 35th Anniversary Tour

Photo: Rob ShanahanToto will celebrate its 35th anniversary this year with a world tour that will include as-yet-unannounced North American dates.  The planned two-year trek will begin with a European leg that's scheduled from a May 30 show in Brussels, Belgium, through a July 6 performance in Helsinki, Finland. read more ≫
