Wal-Mart, Humana to Offer Healthy Food Discount

PRNewsFoto/Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.(NEW YORK) -- Health care giant Humana, Inc. is partnering with Wal-Mart to give its HumanaVitality participants a deal on fresh fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy and other "Great for You"-emblazoned products starting next month.

The new program kicks off Oct. 15 and will allow the more than one million Vitality customers (all under age 65) to get a 5 percent discount on Great for You products, a logo the retailer created last year to make it easier for shoppers to spot healthy items without having to read dozens of nutrition labels each trip. read more ≫


Arizona Hospital to Reduce High Price for Antivenom

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(CHANDLER, Ariz.) -- What may have stung worse than Marcie Edmonds’ scorpion bite was the $83,046 hospital bill she was slapped with after treatment.

Now, the Arizona hospital where Edmonds was treated says it’s reviewing its pricing on the costly antivenom used to treat her, which was the main cost on the bill.

Edmonds, 52, who was stung in the stomach while opening a box of air conditioner filters, rushed to Chandler Regional Medical Center, where doctors injected two vials of an anti-venom called Anascorp. read more ≫

Forget Fake IDs: Can Kids Buy Alcohol on eBay?

ABC News(NEW YORK) -- The online marketplace eBay is a popular site for bidding on rare finds and selling your own household treasures, but resourceful teens might also find another use for it: scoring booze.

While eBay prohibits the sale of all alcohol with the exception of some wines sold by licensed wine sellers, it does allow for the sale of collectible alcohol containers. The site's alcohol policy states that the seller of the container "will take all appropriate steps to ensure that the buyer is of lawful age in the buyer's and seller's jurisdiction."  read more ≫
