--Won a Golden Globe for co-writing "Masterpiece," her song from W.E., the movie she directed

--Performed at the Super Bowl

--Released her new album MDNA and saw it debut at #1 on the Billboard album chart

Elvis Presley Died 35 Years Ago Today

RCA/Legacy RecordingsThursday marks the 35th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death.  The King of Rock 'n' Roll **** of a heart attack at age 42 at his Graceland mansion in Memphis, Tennessee.  As it does every August, Graceland has been hosting a series of events celebrating Presley's life and music this week.  The 2012 Elvis Week kicked off on Friday and is scheduled to run through this Saturday. read more ≫


Revamped Video, Audio of The Doors' Famed July 1968 Hollywood Bowl Concert Arriving This Fall

Eagle Rock EntertainmentA restored and expanded version of The Doors' Live at the Hollywood Bowl video, capturing a classic concert by the band from July 5, 1968, will be released in a number of formats this fall.  The flick, retitled Live at the Bowl '68, will be available as a DVD, Blu-ray and digital video on October 23, while a companion CD, two-LP vinyl set and audio download also will be issued that day. read more ≫


Journey Guitarist Neal Schon, Tareq Salahi Settle Lawsuit

PRNewsFoto/LLEWMORC Media & Production AgencyJourney guitarist Neal Schon has settled his ongoing legal battle with Tareq Salahi [sah-LAH-hee], who sued the musician for 50 million dollars after his wife Michaele [mih-KEL] left him for Schon.

Though the case had twice been dismissed by a Virginia judge this year, a rep for Journey tells TMZ.com that Schon has settled. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed. read more ≫


Joe Jackson Drops Conrad Murray Lawsuit

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty ImagesMichael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, has dropped a wrongful death lawsuit he filed against Conrad Murray, the jailed doctor who was convicted in the King of Pop's death.

A request for dismissal was granted Monday, according to court records. No reason is given for the suit being dropped.

Joe Jackson filed the suit against Murray back in June 2010, on the one-year anniversary of Michael’s death. When a federal judge declined to hear the case, it was re-filed in state court in Los Angeles. read more ≫
