Jackson 5 Songwriter/Producer Deke Richards Passes Away at 68

L to R: Freddie Perren, Deke Richards, Alphonso Mizell (UMe)Deke Richards, a songwriter and producer who worked on many of The Jackson 5 's biggest hits as well as hits for other Motown acts, **** Sunday in Bellingham, Washington, after a battle with esophageal cancer.  He was 68. 

Richards led the famed Motown songwriting and production team known as "The Corporation," which also included Motown founder Berry Gordy, the late Freddie Perren and the late Alphonso Mizell. read more ≫


Michael Jackson "Thriller" MTV VMA Award Going on the Auction Block; MJ Moonwalk Turns 30

Nate D. SandersWant to own a piece of Michael Jackson history?  One of the late King of Pop's most memorable awards -- the MTV Viewer's Choice VMA he won for "Thriller" in 1984 -- is going on the auction block.

The trophy, which will be sold by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on April 2, is expected to fetch at least $100,000.  In a statement, Sanders says, "This is the best MJ award one could ever hope to own.  In fact, it is the most valuable music award in existence." read more ≫

Stephen Stills Praises His New Box Set But Admits He "Couldn't Listen to This Entire Thing"
