Our guest this week is Heather Avis, author of the new book Scoot Over and Make Some Room. Heather has made it her mission to introduce the world to the unique gifts and real-life challenges of those who have been pushed to the edges of society, like her three adopted kids – two with Down Syndrome.
In this interview we talk about the importance and value of including people who are different from us and for us all to listen and learn from those we’re prone to ignore. This is important for anyone who wants to understand the value of diversity.
