Annual Milk Carton Boat Race!

Seafair Milk Carton Derby
July 13
Green Lake

Nearly one hundred boats built with milk cartons and imagination will compete for prizes on the waters of Seattle’s Green Lake. Competition is fierce in the Adult Class, but nothing but fun and laughs will be found in the Family/Mixed Age category. There are also Youth, Non-Profit and Commercial categories.
Since 1972, this quirky celebration of creativity, science and boatmanship has entertained Seattle Seafair goers on a sunny Saturday in July. You don’t have to be a sailor to have fun at this event!
There are plenty of interactive exhibit booths to visit as well as a wide variety of food vendors to choose from when you get hungry.
