Herb Alpert and Lani Hall
March 28 – 31
Triple Door, Seattle
KIXI radio welcomes legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert with Grammy-winning vocalist (and wife) Lani Hall for four nights.
We’re talking legendary career here! Herb Alpert has five decades of unprecedented breakthroughs as an artist, record executive and philanthropist. He won his ninth Grammy for 2014’s Steppin’ Out and received the National Medal of Arts from President Obama. As impressive as those accolades are, they may soon be overshadowed. Come Fly With Me, his latest studio album is some of the best work of his career, rivaling his classic Tijuana Brass output.
Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass propelled his sound into the pop music limelight, at one point outselling the Beatles two to one.
Herb Alpert’s wife, the Grammy Award-winning vocalist and producer, Lani Hall started her singing career in 1966, as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes’s break through group, Brasil ’66.
