March 6 – 8
Triple Door, Seattle
KIXI radio welcomes legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert and Grammy-winning vocalist Lani Hall for three nights.
We’re talking legendary career here! Herb Alpert has five decades of unprecedented breakthroughs as an artist, record executive and philanthropist. He won his ninth Grammy for 2014’s Steppin’ Out and received the National Medal of Arts from President Obama.
In 1966 Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass achieved the since-unmatched feat of simultaneously having four albums in the Top 10 — and five in the Top 20. Herb Alpert also has the distinction of being the only artist who has had a #1 instrumental and vocal single.
Lani Hall, (Herb Alpert’s wife) is a Grammy Award-winning vocalist and producer who started her singing career in 1966 as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes’s break through group, Brasil ’66.
