Shaun Jones is the Disaster Service Director for the Salvation Army Northwest Division. The Army has been overwhelmed with demands and needs in recent months with the huge forest fires and the fallout from them. Shaun’s comment– that he and the teams regard their efforts as a marathon, not a sprint, is something to keep in mind at all times, during these challenging times. Shaun tells us financial help really makes the most impact and helps them take care of things–such as paying an insurance premium, paying for alternate housing, a mobile food unit. Any amount adds to the total, and truly makes a difference.
