Seems Like Old Times

Fridays 9pm-11pm

Listen to the memories, Friday nights from 9pm – 11pm on KIXI Radio and online at www.kixi.com.

Meet the host of Seems Like Old Times

Craig Orndorff’s radio career began in 1987, and since then he has hosted a number of morning shows and provided local sports play-by-play, winning awards for both.

The love of music has always been a major part of his life. In his youth he played the saxophone and piano, and sang (and continues to sing) in church choirs.

Even though Craig grew up on pop and country hits of the 70s and 80s, he always had an affinity for the big band sound and the charm of the classic singers. As a teenager, he discovered “The Swingin’ Years” hosted by legendary broadcaster Chuck Cecil. That show was a major influence on Craig as he developed his own style. Others radio voices who had a professional impact were Don Kennedy, Fred Hall and Casey Kasem.

Craig’s career has spanned the media, doing voiceovers, writing for newspapers as both a reporter and columnist, and working in television as an anchor, reporter and even a fill-in weatherman.

Today, in addition to hosting Seems Like Old Times, Craig produces daily local sports reports for five stations in the Shenandoah Valley.

Seems Like Old Times is a great way to start your weekend with Craig Orndorff, Friday nights from 9pm – 11pm on AM 880 KIXI.
